Artist comment: This work was created as a commission for a customer who wanted their coffee table topped with mosaic.

We were given her favourite photo of Broome (Northern West Australian coast) asked to do a pretty literal interpretation.

The main thing that struck me about the photo was the brilliant colour & contrasts between land and sea.

The teal & red-brown tiles were a joy to work with, and are surely two of the most gorgeous colours that nature provides us with.
