Frequently asked questions - Mosaic kits

What else do I need to make the mosaic?

The kits contain all the materials, and if you include either of the toolkits you won't need to purchase anything. You'll need a few plastic containers, some old towels or rags, pencils & markers for transferring the design, and safety glasses - stuff you can find around your home. Your instructions include much more detail about this, including specific safety instructions.

Is the completed mosaic suitable for outdoors?

If you follow the instructions closely, your mosaic will be suitable for hanging out in the weather provided you don't have heavy frosts. Ideally they're better suited to a sheltered position though.

Are these kits suitable for kids?

Absolutely - kids love them!! Depending on their age and abilities, they will probably need some help at various stages, and may have trouble nipping the tiles - but that's a perfect opportunity for you to do something together!

How long will the kit take me to make?

A bit of preparation is required a day in advance, it will take up to a day to lay the smaller kits and several days for the larger ones, and then an hour or two on the following day to grout the finished work

Can you supply a table base?

Sorry, but at the moment I'm not offering table bases. You'll often find something suitable at garden centres or weekend markets. You could also try a local blacksmith.

Can I make my own design?

Well yes, but you'll need to find your own tiles too - unless you can improvise with the tiles we supply. You might like to consider joining our Mosaic classes online and creating your own project from scratch.

What payment methods are available?
