Artist Comment: "Down under" is a commissioned 6 seat outdoor table . Client wasn't very demanding - she simply wanted to see some fish (design from a tablemat), a crab & plenty of colour.

Since I've been keen to do another underwater scene for a while, this was a very enjoyable commission. I'm no diver, so most of the inspiration came from books, and it was really very difficult to settle on individual corals & the crab,

You can see from the photos, that some of tiles created a nice coral effect without excessive cutting, and others (like the starfish) were at the other extreme, and took ages to create.
