Artist comment: Wallace Street was a run down Park in Caboolture and a joint effort from The Caboolture Shire Council & the local community has yielded fantastic results in bringing the park back to life.

Our role was to decorate the park with small insets that represented the natural evironment, but also the cultures of local aborigines, Pacific Islanders & anglo-saxons.

It was high on the agenda to create something especially attractive to children.

All the insets shown above were created on compressed fibre cement and completely laid & grouted prior to installing on site. It was then simply a matter of glueing the works in place and grouting around the edges.

Note how we've included a portion of carpet snake throughout the bollards insets - An aboriginal meaning for Caboolture is "Place of the Carpet Snake".
