Living among the rainforests and national parks of Queensland, it’s hard not to be inspired by nature. Birds, plants, animals, landscapes — they all find their way into my mosaic art in one form or another. Sometimes it’s a detailed study, other times it’s something more symbolic or abstract. Either way, these works are my way of paying quiet tribute to the natural world that surrounds me.
Nature and wildlife mosaics have been a constant thread in my practice over the years. Whether I’m capturing the subtle colourings of a bird’s wing or the curve of a leaf, there’s always a rhythm and richness to work with. This gallery includes a mix of pieces: some personal, some commissioned, all made with a deep appreciation for the wild.
I hope these mosaics offer a little of the same inspiration I’ve drawn from the bush, the coast, and the ancient forests nearby. And if you’re a mosaic enthusiast or student, I encourage you to look around — nature has an endless palette if you let yourself slow down and notice it.
